EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
Kim Camacho, Member kcamacho@lanetechfieldsofdreams.com I am a 1983 graduate of Lane Tech as are two of my sons (Classes of 2003 and 2006). Both were involved in sports while attending, one in Cross-Country and the other in Football. I have another son entering in the fall who is a member of the Freshmen Football Team, and also a 7 year old son who hopes to enter in 2013! I am currently serving on the Local School Council at Lane Tech and have been a proud member of the Fields of Dreams Committee since it began. I feel priviledged to work with the other members to achieve our goal of getting what our children, as well as, the children on the north side deserve.... a safe place to play and practice sports. By joining together I know that we can make our dream a reality.

I have two sons who are Lane Tech Alumni, graduating in 2004 and 2006. Currently I have a son who is a senior at Lane. Cross Country and Track have been their sports. I also have a daughter who wants to attend Lane in 2009. The northside students, families, and community deserve better than the deteriorated facilities currently available. Join with our committee, Alderman Schulter, State Representatives, and community organizations to bring this project into being.
Marie Goss, Chairperson mgoss@lanetechfieldsofdreams.com 312-856-8275 My daughter is a junior at Lane and my son is a 2006 graduate. My daughter is a member of the cross country and water polo teams, and my son was a member of the football, waterpolo and lacrosse teams. I've been involved with the Fields of Dreams Committee since its inception because Lane's students and athletes deserve the very best we can provide. I firmly believe that there are no obstacles that can't be overcome as long as we all work together.
Calixto Marcano, Vice-Chairperson cmarcano@lanetechfieldsofdreams.comMy name is Calixto Marcano – my role in the Fields of Dreams committee is to serve as a media coordinator and to help solicit funds from the corporate sector. I am a Staffing Consultant and Recruiter in the Personnel Placement industry. Also I am an obsessed gardener/landscaping nut. In addition, I dabble with a folk guitar once in awhile. Although I am not a Lane Tech graduate, I have been involved with Lane Tech since 1990. You see I am the proud father of five Lane Tech alumni and currently my daughter Danika is entering her senior year. It is a complete honor for me to be involved with the Fields of Dreams project… this team has more talent under one roof than I’ve seen in a long time. To be a part of this renovation program has given me a sense of purpose and an appreciation for the students, teachers, parents and coaches of this fine institution. Thank you all for letting me be a part of this vision.

I'm a graduate of Audubon School class of '74 and of Lane Tech class of '78. I'm currently a varsity football coach and have been since the 1998 season. I have also been part of the Committee since itsinception. All this really started maybe 5 years ago and that involved solely permanent lights at Lane Stadium. This evolved into something much bigger after seeing the injustice regarding funds given to Lane Tech. Myhope is that my two nephews, currently attending Blaine School, will have a quality education and a quality sports program if they choose thatroute. This will help the whole north side. Please help us in this fight.
Beatriz Penso-Buford, Member beatriz@lanetechfieldsofdreams.com
Hi, this is Bea, Beatriz Penso-Buford. My connection to Lane began 10 years ago, when my oldest son started his Freshman year in 1996. Two other sons followed his steps and all three are now proud Lane Tech Alumni. My sons participated in Track and Field, Football, 16-inch Softball, and LaCrosse. Although I won't be driving any sons to school this fall, my connection to Lane Tech will last forever. I know what Lane has done for my kids and family. I've taught my sons the importance of making contributions to our communities when given the opportunity. Talking is good, but doing is better!
